Our Services

Great to meet you!

Here at Mind-full Wellness Solutions we provide Individual, couples and parenting type sessions.  These often meet requirements for insurance to help cover session, but we offer sliding scale to help with self pay clients also.

A bit about our approach to therapy

Mind-full Wellness Solutions believes that the body and brain hold onto experiences after certain events and might get hung up or even stuck. In our assessments, we determine how these impacts can reveal themselves in our behaviors and the decisions that we make every day. We will work to help identify where the mind and body have gotten hung up and we utilize an eclectic “whole person” approach to unraveling these barrier areas in life. This mean using multiple approaches and techniques to cater your individual needs.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to feel heard and to better understand themselves in sessions. Be prepared to learn about the mind and body, to better understand the emotions that follow. This understanding tends to bring relaxation and more peace to people as they experience life challenges.

So what are these approaches and modalities that are used?

CBT - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT teaches people to challenge negative thought patterns and turn less often to unhelpful behaviors. CBT emphasize what is going on in the person’s current life, rather than what has led up to their difficulties.

IFS - Internal Family Systems Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts and painful emotions such as anger and shame. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.

Expressive Therapies

Expressive arts therapy is a multimodal holistic health intervention that mobilizes creative expression in the service of healing both mind and body. In expressive arts therapy, each client is encouraged to use multiple forms of creative expression to articulate their inner world, including drawing and painting, photography, music, poetry, and movement.

DBT - Dialectical behavior therapy

Focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behavior. DBT treatment involves teaching people skills to learn acceptance and to help them make changes. The term “behavior” is used because DBT aims to help people identify problematic behaviors and replace them with new, more effective ones

Strength-Based Therapy

Strength-based therapy focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings.

Mindful Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), meditation, and the cultivation of a present-oriented, non-judgmental attitude called "mindfulness." In our practice we focus a lot on this type of awareness to approach situations.
